the "Ligue Intercommu" is a Geoguessr community, mainly organizing tournaments and competitive events. Although primarily a French-speaking community, all important information is translated into English so that players all around the world can compete as well.
From September to June there are two successive online competitions:
-The League, a team-based competition. Currently in its fifth season, the league comprises 42 teams of three or more players competing on a variety of cooperative gamemodes.
-The Cup, a solo knockout tournament where players go head-to-head until there's only one player standing. The Cup returns in 2023.
In the meantime, the Cactus League is open to all without registration. This solo competition has weekly challenges of seven maps each.
Finally, for the first time ever, the Ligue Intercommu and French streamer Antoine Daniel are organizing the GeoGuessr Team World Cup. This is a live event with a €25,000 cash prize, slated to take place in Paris in October 2022.
All these comptitions are streamed live on Twitch — by the players themselves and occasionally on the Ligue's official channel.
For more information about these competitions, as well as other events organized by community members, join the Ligue's Discord. You'll also find many resources and discussions on GeoGuessr-related topics, such as Street View, mapmaking, and training.. Everyone is welcome in the community! Just be respectful of others in the community, and of the rules of the game if you participate in any events or competitions.
